Holcim France has taken a majority share in Carbocia
By joining the Holcim Group, Carbocia strengthens its position as a key player on the French...
The Carrières de la Vallée Heureuse’s hard, compact limestone deposits have been worked since 1859 and extend over more than 200 hectares in the Bassin de Marquise area, half-way between Boulogne-sur-Mer and Calais.
Thanks to the crushing, screening, separating and micronizing technologies developed by Carrières de la Vallée Heureuse, Carbocia is in a position to offer limestone fillers in size fractions of under 4mm for a wide range of industrial and agricultural uses: animal feed, carpet backing, grouts, special concretes and precast concrete, sealants, asphalt, bricks, plaster, amendments, ceramics, plastics, water treatment, gas treatment and soil remediation and more. Every year, no fewer than 400,000 tonnes of filler are dispatched from CVH’s micronization plant all over France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
We sell top-quality limestone fillers extracted from the Carrières de la Vallée Heureuse quarry in France’s Pas-de-Calais area. The intrinsic physical and chemical propertiesof our limestone and our micronization techniques are of major benefit to many industries. We shift our focus and adapt our products to keep pace with ongoing technological progress thanks to our partner CVH’s laboratory.
Our products
Our limestone has a content of over 96% CaCO3. This extremely high level allows us to meet the specifications of the industrial and agricultural sectors. The particle size of our fillers meets all relevant product requirements and complies with all standards and regulations currently in force.
